Meeting in solidarity with the victims of policies that criminalize civil work
On the occasion of the National Day for the Abolition of Slavery and Slavery, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 17.00 to 19.00, a solidarity meeting with the families of arrested and detained civil society activists will be organized at the Riou Hall.
Sharifa Riahi, Saadia Mesbah, Mohamed Jouhou, Ayad Boussalmi, Ayman El Wardani, Abdelrazak El Karimi, Mustapha El Jamali, Abdallah El Said, and Salwa Gressa are still under investigation for their humanitarian work in caring for migrants, especially the most vulnerable groups of women and children.
The detainees practiced their civic activities in compliance with legal and administrative procedures, and even the Tunisian state, in its reports to international bodies, praised their role, work and efforts, but they are in prison for these activities.
The meeting will be an opportunity to express solidarity directly with the families of the detainees. Your presence will support the detainees, their families, and civil and humanitarian work.
