Abdallah El Said is a Tunisian civil and human rights activist and a symbol of integration in Tunisian society, as his origins are Chadian and he obtained Tunisian citizenship in 2012. He contributed to the establishment of several local organizations in the Medenine region, especially the Children of the Moon Association in Medenine and the Coalition of Associations in Medenine.
Abdallah Saeed was the president of the Children of the Moon Association in Medenine, an association that works on the social and economic integration of migrants and vulnerable Tunisians, medical support, psychological assistance, individual support for life projects, integration and support in education and employment, and access to recreational and sports activities,
social cohesion, training, coordination and advocacy. The association had many partnerships with state institutions and UN and international organizations. The association contributed to supporting migrant and refugee women and their children and protecting them from violations. The association has been subjected to campaigns on social networks and from some of those in power accusing it of conspiring against the state and contributing to changing the demographic composition. On November 12, the legal representative and some of the association’s employees were summoned for investigation. Abdullah al-Saeed was arrested on November 12, 2024, and referred to the anti-terrorism squad for investigation. The file was then returned to the public prosecutor at the Medenine Court, who authorized the opening of an investigation against Abdellah Saeed on charges related to money laundering and conspiracy against the state’s external security.
