Abderrazak Krimi

Abdelrazak Karimi is a civil society activist and project manager at the Tunisian Refugee Council, a non-governmental humanitarian organization that helps manage issues related to asylum in Tunisia and supports the Tunisian authorities in their efforts to find appropriate solutions to the difficulties faced by refugees in Tunisia.
He was arrested on May 9, 2024, along with the president of the association, in connection with the announcement of a request for proposals for sheltering vulnerable situations of refugees and asylum seekers in response to the requirements of national laws and transparency, and was investigated on suspicion of “forming a consortium to launder money by exploiting social activity facilities, fraud, and the possession and use of fraudulent documents” and heard by the investigating registry both at the Court of First Instance in Tunis and the Economic and Financial Judicial Section.
